Jordan has worked for years to attract greater foreign investment, and it reduced trade tariffs as part of satisfying requirements for admittance into the WTO. A recent survey shows that those nations with highest per capita incomes and greatest economic freedom are those (Hong Kong, Singapore and New Zealand) that maintain no tariffs at all.
